Design
The entire front of the Bentayga Azure gleams as it catches the light, thanks to the generous amount of polished chrome detailing on the front grilles and the lower bumper grilles, not to mention the cut crystal effect LED matrix headlamps. That beautiful approach to the detailing continues along the side of the car, where chrome wing vents and Azure badges complement the sculpted side sills. Even details that usually remain out of sight, such as the fuel and oil filler caps, have a glittering jewel finish. Perhaps the feature that has the biggest impact on the way this car looks, however, is a set of 22” wheels, available in a choice of three finishes exclusive to the Azure model.
Opening the door can be an event in itself if you choose to add the optional Animated Welcome Lamps by Mulliner, which project a swirling light show onto the ground, illuminating your path.
As you get into the car, you will step over illuminated Azure treadplates, inscribed with the words, ‘Handcrafted in Crewe, England’. You will then enter a cabin lit by beautiful mood lighting. You can adjust the colour and intensity of the light at any time, ensuring you have complete control over the in-car ambience. Everything about the cabin is tailored to the requirements of the people who travel in it – driver and passengers alike. That’s why the craftsmanship on display is so striking, from handcrafted leather quilting that can be enhanced with the optional Bentley Diamond Illumination, to the smooth, expansive veneers, which can be commissioned in a vast range of finishes. They range from high-gloss woods to more minimalist finish of open-pore woods or even more modern finishes such as Dark Tint Diamond-Brushed Aluminium. There are also painted finishes, including Piano Linen by Mulliner and three new colours: Cricket Ball, Imperial Blue and Burnt Oak.
Throughout the car, there are details to take your breath away, from the Deep Pile Overmats on the floor to the heated, duo-tone steering wheel and the Sports Pedals. The Bentayga Azure is luxury in motion.
There are numerous stitching and piping options, and now you can have hand cross-stitching and contrast stitching together, for the first time. There is also plenty of choice when it comes to veneers, from high-gloss and open pore woods, to technical finishes and new piano-painted options, including Cricket Ball, Imperial Blue and Burnt Oak.
Performance
While the emphasis is very much on the comfort and wellbeing of the car’s occupants, the Bentayga Azure is a Bentley – and that means Bentley performance.
It is powered by a hybrid powertrain that teams a 3.0 litre petrol engine with an advanced electric motor to take you from 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds (0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds), and on to a top speed of 158 mph (254 km/h). It can even make journeys of up to 31 miles (46 km) on electric power alone.
Technology
Inside the cabin there are rear ionisers and a new, intelligent air conditioning system that filters out harmful PM2.5 particles and other pollutants. If the air outside is deemed to be of a lower quality than that inside, it will switch to re-circulation mode. It can even detect tunnels automatically, as you approach.
The vehicle can identify suitable parking spaces and park itself. If it looks like you will have difficulty opening the door once your Bentayga has parked, you can even get out beforehand and activate the parking manoeuvre from your phone.
In fact many tight spots are made easier to navigate, thanks to the 3D view of your surroundings displayed on your screen, and the help of Manoeuvre Assist, which uses the car’s sensors to monitor your immediate environment and alert you if it looks like you might hit or scrape against anything.
All four main seats feature Seat Auto Climate, which monitors the humidity and temperature of the leather seat surfaces and adjust the seat’s built-in heating and ventilation system accordingly, to keep you comfortable throughout every journey. They also include Postural Adjust – a feature that sees micro-adjustments made to a series of individual air pockets throughout your drive. Although virtually imperceptible, these adjustments promote blood flow and prevent stiffness.
The luxurious experience is not limited to those in the back, however. The Front Seat Comfort Specification is fitted as standard, which means the two front seats are equipped with ventilation functions, a six-setting massage function and winged comfort headrests, as well as adjustable cushion and backrest bolsters.
Drivers benefit from the Touring Specification – again, fitted as standard – which includes a range of driver assistance technology. Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Guidance means you can let the car control its speed automatically on the highway, and allow it to keep you in the centre of your lane. Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control enables the car to continue controlling your speed, even when you leave the highway, accelerating and decelerating according to changes in the speed limit. Green Traffic Light Prediction, meanwhile, works in cities with open digital infrastructure to tell you when the lights at the next junction will turn green, and what speed you need to maintain in order to glide through without stopping.
Predictive E-Mode enables the hybrid version to select the most appropriate power source for different stages of your journey automatically. This means it will make maximum use of the battery to drive in EV mode where possible to reduce emissions, only relying on the petrol engine when necessary.
If you wish to use your favourite apps directly on the car’s infotainment system, rather than on your phone, you can now download a selection direct to your vehicle, thanks to the new My Bentley App Studio. It’s useful if you want to use a third-party navigation app, for example, and give it full access to the car’s fuel and range data.

Personalisation
Despite the incredible specification of all Bentley Azure models, choosing this car is just the beginning. On the outside, you can select from a vast range of paints, with new colours including Opalite and Gravity Grey. A range of new satin finishes has also been introduced. The Styling Specification adds a sleek carbon fibre body kit, while the Blackline Specification changes the aesthetic of your car completely, by replacing most of the polished chrome exterior detailing and replacing it with black.
On the inside, you can choose from the full range of hide colours, with eight more available for contrast stitching and accents, if you choose the Mulliner Colour Specification. If you choose the Leather Specification for the upper cabin, extra leather is applied to the pillars and the headlining that runs across the roof.
